Tuesday Musing: “Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning.”

“Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning.” - Bill Gates

Your business should always be learning and adapting based on the feedback of your clients. Yes, consumers don’t always know what they are talking about, however if a complaint is persistent then the processes can and should be evaluated. A feedback system that is accessible is a life saver. Ryan Levesque, wrote a book called “ASK” that outlines his process of asking what clients want from him in terms of products and services. He uses what he calls a deep dive survey to ask all kinds of questions, “ what is troubling you the most in your business?” , “ what do you feel is stopping you from taking the next step in your business?”
Ask yourself this question, is it better to have a think tank of ‘smart people’ trying to figure out what people want, or is it better to walk down the street and ask those very customers what it is that they want?
